Personal Data Protection Policy
At the bank, we treat your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and Personal Data Protection Regulations of Banka Koper d.d., which regulate the processing of personal data, procedures and measures for personal data protection and responsibility and control of personal data processing. With this statement of personal data protection, the bank regulates its policy of collecting, using and protecting the personal data of the bank's website users.
Protecting Personal Data of the Bank's Website Users
Users of the bank’s website can be natural or legal persons; personal data apply only to the data of a natural persons. The bank respects its users' privacy and undertakes to protect the data acquired through the bank's website with due care and in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and Personal Data Protection Regulations of Banka Koper d.d. The bank shall not reveal the acquired personal data to third parties or use it for purposes other than those defined in this statement. The bank may reveal a website user’s personal data only by demand of the law, in the event of an investigation or for protection from activities damaging to the bank. Since there are links on the bank’s website to other websites not connected with the bank, the bank assumes no responsibility for data protection on these websites. You will be notified of any amendments to this statement via the e-mail address you provided when entering your data on the bank’s website.
Consent to Personal Data Collection and Processing
The user (natural person) of the bank’s website, who enters his/her (personal) data on the bank's website:
- permits the bank to establish, collect, manage, use, process and store the user’s personal data in its personal data collections;
- permits the bank to carry out direct marketing activities;
- states that he/she is aware of the option to demand at any time that the bank stop using his/her personal data for the purposes of direct marketing.
All three points also apply as appropriate to transactions with legal persons.
Personal Data Protection
The bank undertakes to protect legal persons’ data and natural persons’ personal data acquired through the bank’s website. For the purposes of preventing unauthorised access to this data or its disclosure, maintaining accuracy and comprehensiveness and ensuring that the data are used appropriately, the bank uses the relevant technical and organisational procedures for personal data protection as prescribed in the Personal Data Protection Regulations of Banka Koper d.d. in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act.
Personal Data Entry
On the bank's website, the user fills out an application or enquiry about a specific bank product or service, which requires the following personal data:
- Surname and name / title;
- Phone number;
- E-mail address.
A bank employee will contact you regarding your enquiry through the channel you select when submitting the question (if you selected “e-mail offer” or “telephone offer”). By entering and confirming your personal data you give the bank consent to process your personal data for direct marketing purposes. The user can revoke permission for the use of his/her personal data for direct marketing purposes at any time by sending an e-mail to info@banka-koper.si. When your permission for direct marketing is revoked, all direct marketing activities will cease and your personal data, acquired for direct marketing purposes, will be deleted from bank records.
Purpose of Collecting and Storing Personal Data
The bank collects, processes, stores and uses legal persons’ data and natural persons’ personal data for the purposes below:
- forwarding a user’s enquiry about a specific bank product or service;
- the possibility for the bank to contact the user regarding a specific bank product or service;
- direct marketing activities;
- data analysis for statistical and market research.
Legal persons’ data and natural persons’ personal data are stored in digital form. When there is no longer any need to keep the data or when registration is revoked, the data are deleted and data carriers are destroyed.
